The “YouTube Comment Count” extension lets you simply get the number of comments on any video on YouTube without even playing it. The user can see the number of comments in a simple, little user interface with just a click on the extension.
User want to save the data in local storage, our extension needs the storage permission for working since it will work efficiently, The user will be verified if key exists in local storage or not.
Whenever a user opens “youtube.com” in a tab of the browser, our extension needs the activeTab permission for working since it will work only on tabs with “youtube.com”. The number of comments on a video will be shown by simply fetching the video ID from the URL and using a basic script on it.
The number of comments the shown by “YouTube Comment Count” extension is by running a small script that uses the ID of the videos being shown on the YouTube page. Our extension needs to run the script to work without needing any other data at all.
The user can use our “YouTube Comment Count” extension in as mas any tabs he/she wants. The tabs permission is needed for the extension to be operable if they have opened many “youtube.com” tabs and want to see the number of comments of any YouTube video.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
